Obituary - Bertha Best Brown

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Best Brown, 94, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel with Rev. David Dietzel officiating. Interment will be at Forest Park Cemetery on St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, LA. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service.

Bertha was born October 30, 1917 in Shreveport, LA to R.A. Best and Freda Best Hooper and passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 in Bossier City, LA. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Bossier City, LA. During her life she enjoyed cooking, sewing and loving her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Daley Brown, grandson, Rob Norrid and sisters, Marguerite Cupples and Bobbie Brown Campbell.

Bertha is survived by her daughters, Gay Norrid and husband Robert of Bossier City, LA, Martha Miteff and husband Mike of Fort Worth, TX; granddaughters, Tracey Norrid and Suzy Shuffield of Fort Worth, TX; grandsons, Troy Little and wife Danielle of Fort Worth, TX, Chad Little and wife Li Lian of Dubai, U.A.E.; great grandson, Eli and sister, Betty Harper and husband J.D. of Ruston, LA.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Dan Moller and staff, Glenview Gardens and staff, caregivers, Raven Waters and Shaunta Lemon and Hill Cross Hospice for all their care and support.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Bossier City.
