Hines Eley, age 85, resident of De Queen, died
Friday, Dec. 17, 2004 in De Queen.
He was born March 17, 1919 in Nashville to Walter D. and Catherine
Norwood Eley; was a retired store manager for Knights Department Store; a former member of the Lions
Club; and a member of De Queen Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister,
Norma Langley of Hot Springs.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Eley of De Queen; one son,
Greg Eley of LaGrange, KY; one daughter, Linda Eley of Bear, DE; one brother, Guy M. Eley of Irving,
Tex.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services
were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19 in De Queen Church of Christ. Burial followed in Ozan Cemetery at
Bingen, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.
