About Mary Harris:
Second wife of Benj. Harris.
From Mrs. Key's book: Mary was possibly a daughter of Silas and
Mary Harris of Georgia. Silas was a son of John Harris, Buncombe County, North Carolina, who was a
brother of David Harris and was the grandfather of Mary Arminda Harris, Benjamin's first wife. They
were probably third cousins. They were divorced.
About William Harris:
Marie Key's book stated that there was a son, William. No record of this William, probably a mistake.
