About Mary Harris:

Mary and John settled in Haywood Co., NC near Waynesville, and lived there all their lives. Mary Harris Henry was the only member of her fathers and mothers family that did not migrate westward in 1845 into Georgia and then to Texas and Arkansas by 1859.


About Laura Eveline Henry:

Never married. She had been nursing her grandmother, Mrs. Malcolm Henry, and caught diphtheria from her. Her grandmother, an aunt and her brother, Randolph, age 14 years, all died from the disease. John Albert Henry, her father was away in the civil war and did not see any of them during their sickness and death.


About Clarisa Jane Henry:

Died at age 3 from burns by cotton dress catching fire.


About Benjamin Miniard Henry:

Never married. A lawyer and teacher.


About David Emanuel Henry:

Moved to Bentonville, AR in 1891 to take up farming but died a year later. Unmarried.


About Samuel Love Henry:

Died of scalding by falling into a pot of hot water at age of 3.
