FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN OKLAHOMA

L. W. Ferguson Sr., of Heavener, Okla., a resident of Shreveport for 45 years, died in a hospital in Oklahoma after a short illness.

He was an employee of Kansas City Southern until he retired nine years ago.

Mr. Ferguson is survived by his widow; two sons, L. W. Ferguson Jr., and H. H. Ferguson; two daughters, Mrs. James Eley, and Mrs. R. C. Hardy, all of Shreveport; his mother, Mrs. J. W. Ferguson of Shreveport; a brother, J. A. Ferguson; sister, Mrs. Ray Wyatt and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services are to be at Dowden Funeral Home at Heavener, Okla. at 10:00 a.m. Thursday. Other arrangements are incomplete.

Obituary - Kathleen Ferguson Spring

Graveside services for Mrs. Kathleen Ferguson Spring, 92, of Shreveport, were held at 10 a.m., Monday, September 16, at Greenwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Crawford Williams, pastor ofI ngleside Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.

Mrs. Spring, a native of Washington, Indiana, died Saturday, Sept. 14, at Westwood Manor Nursing Home, following a long illness. She was a homemaker, and member of the Ingleside BaptistChurch.

She is survived by two sons, L. W. Ferguson, and Homer H. Ferguson, both of Zwolle; one daughter, Leneda Eley of Shreveport; one sister, Stella Mae Lones of Lima, Ohio; two brothers, Lev Jones of Lima, Pirkie Jones of California; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews
