This was taken at my Hardy grandparents place near Longview, TX.  Shown are my uncle Bert Hardy, myself, and my dad holding Danny, my brother.  The tin building in the background contained a huge engine which had been used years earlier to pump oil out of a well.  The derrick was still standing, out of the picture on the other end of the building.  The year was 1949.
