VitalSearch - Birth, death, marriage, and divorce records for Texas, records for some other states

Ferguson DNA Project - Information and test results relating to the Ferguson surname

Harris DNA Project - Information and test results relating to the Harris surname

Family Tree DNA - The largest DNA testing company

Ysearch - Searchable Y-DNA database

Civil War Resources:

The Battle of Port Hudson - Information on the battle, photos, maps, etc., including Fort Desperate

National Parks Service Soldiers and Sailors - Search for soldiers and units, excellent site

Edward G. Gerdes Arkansas Civil War - Excellent site for Arkansas soldiers and units

Civil War History/Military Records - Rosters and units searchable by state
