Ca. was killed near the Lightwood Knot Springs near that City, on the morning of Sept'r 17th 1873, by a collision of a Passenger and Freight train on the Charlotte, Columbia and Augusta Rail Road. The deceased was one of the Pay Masters on the said Road, was a promising energetic and faithful officer.
