D, 6th Arkansas Cavalry, at Washington, Arkansas, May 22, 1862; present, April 30, 1863; appointed first corporal; present, June 30, 1863; absent with leave from February 28, 1864; captured at Mound City, Kansas, October 24, 1864; confined at U.S. Military Prison, Alton, Illinois; exchanged at City Point, Virginia, March 1865; hospitalized at Richmond, Virginia, March 5, and died of chronic bronchitis on March 9, 1865; appears in list of indigent families of soldiers in Hempstead county. |
