Newspaper Obituary of William E. Hardy, 1938 W. E. Hardy Died Thursday W. E. Hardy, 87, one of the oldest citizens of the county died early last Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Judson Furlow, and Mr. Furlow, in the Rocky Mound community. He had been declining in health several weeks. Mr. Hardy was one of the most highly respected citizens of Columbia county. Surviving are one son, Henry Hardy, two daughters, Mrs. Furlow and Mrs. J. B. Johnson, of Rocky Mound. Funeral and burial services were held at 10 o'clock Friday at Harmony, by Elder E. B. Jones. ......................................................... |
