Obituary from the Shreveport Times Mr. Homer Horace "Papaw" Ferguson ZWOLLE, LA - Graveside services for Mr. Homer Horace "Papaw" Ferguson, 89, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery, with Reverend Roy Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at Rose-Neath's Southside Funeral Home. Mr. Ferguson was born April 5, 1916. He passed away Saturday, July 2, 2005 at his residence in Zwolle, LA. Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce Ferguson. Mr. Ferguson was employed with KC'S Railroad from 1935 until 1979, and retired after many years of dedicated service. Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Judy K. Scotto and husband, John, Sharon Mitchell and husband, Bobby; his sister, Leneda Eley; his brother, Leonard Ferguson and wife, Marie; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Jack Corley and staff in Many, LA for their compassionate, loving care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to Aimwell Baptist Church. Papaw was a joy to our lives and a joy to everyone who met him.
