About David Ferguson:

which gives a middle name for him. In an article from the book "Proud Heritage - Pioneer Families of

David
Ferguson enlisted in the Confederate Army on July 13, 1862. He served in 30th Texas Cavalry, Company
I, Gurly's Regiment.
David Ferguson of Dallas County was found on the Confederate Indigent Families
Lists (1863-1865).
I have a copy of the Application for Confederate Pension, dated Nov. 19, 1904,
filed by David's widow Margarett Ferguson. Based on this document, in which Margarett states that
she had been a resident of Tarrant Co. for 34 years, David and family moved from Dallas to Tarrant County
around 1870. They settled in the Arlington area. It also gives David's date of death, 1-2-1902. ...................................................................................
